Fil de Légende in Le Point magazine
Fil de Légende is a design and manufacturing company specializing in children's party and ceremony outfits. We met Karine, the founder, who tells us about her destined journey and her work as a passionate designer.
"Fil de Légende, the Paths of Destiny.
Sometimes life choices leave a clear path behind... unless it comes back, one day, to knock on our door again. This destiny is Karine's, a child who became passionate about sewing very early on. "To make me happy, all you had to do was take me to a fabric store!"". As she grew up, Karine left her passion behind for business studies, then later, leaving from one day to the next with her family for England. Her mind was then busy, far from the miniature disguises and costumes she made for her dolls in her childhood. Except that, even when you think the dice - sewing, that is - have been cast, Heaven can be insistent. Especially when your maiden name is Couture, and your great-grandmother worked at Worth, the creator of Haute Couture in the 19th century.
From then on, as Karine tells us, it was enough to find the end of the thread of destiny, to unroll it completely: "I wasn't thinking about it at all anymore, and I stumbled upon theater costume sewing classes by chance. At that moment, I reconnected with sewing. After that, I took a lot of classes. children. Once back in France, I continued." One can easily be disconcerted by the natural fluidity of Karine's journey. And that's just the beginning. "One day, a client came to ask me for a christening dress that I designed entirely. Then a second one. I received many requests for christening outfits for babies, and over time, that became one of Fil de Légende's specialties." "
